Pochází z Keni nedaleko města Voi. Roste v kopcích Maungu Hills v nadmořské výšce kolem 1000 metrů v okrese Taita-Taveta District. Název rostliny pochází z místního jazyka taita.

Please find photos from Kenya. This is a very arid area and just showcases how tough some of these plants are. I would love to see the colony after good rains, however I think trying to get there when everything is lush and green will be nigh on impossible...it was already a massive struggle fighting up very steep and rocky terrain through the remnants of thorny lianas.
